SUSPECTS(S): Lee Roy Grecian
SYNOPSIS: The Redding Police Department has completed its investigation of the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office shooting that occurred on 05/15/11 in Round Mountain, California.
The Deputy involved in the shooting of Lee Grecian was Sergeant Jose (Joe) Gonzalez. Sergeant Gonzalez is a 16-year veteran with the Sheriff’s Office. Sergeant Gonzalez is currently assigned to patrol operations. Sergeant Gonzalez has previous assignments in the jail, patrol division and administrative sergeant. Sergeant Gonzalez was a former member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) for approximately 8 years. Sergeant Gonzalez is on paid administrative leave per department policy (no photo available).
