Shasta College Recruits for Youth Conservation Corps

What: Shasta College Recreuiting for 2011 Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) Crew

Shasta College is currently recruiting for the 2011 Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) Crew, a program funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Young adults ages 15-18 years that are permanent residents of Shasta County are eligible to apply. Twenty positions will be filled for the eight-week summer program, which runs from June 13 through August 5, 2011. Crew members will work 40 hours per week and receive minimum wage payment. Work will be reducing fuel loads around the Shasta Lake Ranger District using hand tools such as shovels, Pulaskis, McLeods and loppers.
