KIXE is getting ready for the 7th Annual Mother-Daughter Tea party, May 1, 2011. For the past six years, KIXE has hosted a tea party that has brought mothers, daughters, grandmothers and even great-grandmothers together for an afternoon of education, entertainment and enlightenment. Each year we have great fun, special entertainment, dancing and, of course, the wall of raffle baskets.

This year KIXE will be presenting an old fashioned May Day Celebration. May Day is exactly a half year from November 1, All Saint’s Day; it marks the end of the uncomfortable winter in the Northern Hemisphere. May Day was once marked with big celebrations that include dancing around the May Pole and taking flowers to your neighbor’s door.  An old custom “bringing on the May” or May Day, please join us as we bring back this wonderful old event!
