DATE/TIME: 1-26-0-2011 at approximately 0930 hours
CRIME/INCIDENT: Robbery and battery on a person with serious bodily injury
LOCATION: 2069 Cascade Blvd. City of Shasta Lake Ca.
VICTIM(S): Amyot, Joseph 20 years of age
SUSPECTS(S): Kirk, Heath 20 years of age
Rasmussen, Jeromy 19 years of age
SYNOPSIS:
On 1-26-2011, approximately 0930 hours, deputies responded to the Shasta Regional Medical Center for a report of a battery victim who was receiving treatment for his injuries. Amyot told the Sheriff’s Office that two suspects had assaulted him and stolen his bicycle. Amyot told the deputies that during the assault he lost consciousness and did not know the identity of his attackers. Interviews of witnesses at the area of the assault led to suspects Rasmussen and Kirk.
After several hours of searching for the suspects, Rasmussen and Kirk turned themselves into the Sheriff’s Office in the City of Shasta Lake. Both Rasmussen and Kirk were booked into the County Jail. The stolen bike was recovered.
