Narrative:
On 12-17-2010 at 0040 hours, Shasta County Deputy Steve South observed a silver Ford Escape reported stolen out of Redding near Mosswood and Airport road. When Deputy South attempted to stop the vehicle a 7.5 mile pursuit ensued with the suspect Matthew Hedges bailing out of the car near Bethel Church off College View drive. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies from City of Shasta Lake and Patrol Operations were able to locate Hedges as he ran across I-5. Hedges was taken into custody and booked into the Shasta County main jail.
