‘Shelby’s Rules’ Mom to Speak at Bag Lunch

What: California Women Lead’s Brown Bag Lunch with Guest Debbie Allen

Redding resident Debbie Allen and national speaker and expert on the perils of teen drinking will be the featured guest at the next Brown Bag lunch hosted by California Women Lead North State Chapter. Mrs. Allen – whose 17-year-old daughter died of alcohol poisoning two years ago – will speak at noon on Thursday, December 2, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Redding Library. Mrs. Allen will discuss Shelby’s Rules – an alcohol-poisoning prevention foundation that she founded – and her success at lobbying for California laws AB 1999 and AB 2486.
