Girl, 15, Missing and in Danger, Sheriff Says

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the help of both the media and the public in locating Jean Berlinghoff, age 15, as well as Charles Berlinghoff, age 44. The two were last seen together in North Redding and are possibly in a gray 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass with California Plate 2DNX546. Jean Berlinghoff is believed to be endangered due to her age and the fact that both subjects have not been in contact with family or friends.

    I know her dad, Jake. He has fought a bunch of child custody battles over his kids. I don't know the uncle, but if somebody had taken the girl, I would have suspected her mom first. Maybe things have settled down in court.

    Could she of been missing before Nov.10th? I live in another state and Nov 6th there was a young girl holding a sign made out of cardboard that said on the road hungry. I stopped and gave her some money.To make a long story short, this female was with a older man.The place that I pulled over would have cameras but I hate to report it if she wasnt missing at that time…
