A Fox On Facebook

On Facebook a few weeks back I received about four friend requests from a someone who appears to be a singer-songwriter from Oxford, England.

Fox (somebody) heading to Sue’s.

He is Fox Elipsus. Or Fox Starview. Or Fox two or three other last names.

I ended up accepting a friendship request from one of the Foxes, and it appears that whomever the person is, he’s having a show from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 8) at Sue’s Java Cafe (1712 Churn Creek Road) in Redding.

It’s an interesting use of the world’s largest social networking site to promote a show. I’m assuming we’ll see much more of this kind of media blitz from independent and non-independent artists.

In a Facebook e-mail, Fox wrote to please “Support this music of peace and love… please come… bring friends. 🙂 I play for free and I came a very long way to play for you – and you’ll be very glad you came.”

As slow and technologically overwhelmed as I am, I’m somehow aware of this show.

It’s all a bit confusing to me, but for more information, you can try this click (Facebook). Or this appears to be his main site.
