It’s all about water this year at the Shasta Public Libraries’ Summer Reading programs for children, teens and adults. Make a Splash and Make Waves @ Your Library are the themes for children and teens, respectively. Adult Summer Reading returns with Water Your Mind: Read! All three programs offer “Read-for-Prizes,” with a Book Bingo available for both Teens and Adults.
Summer Reading is offered at the Redding, Anderson and Burney branches. At the Redding Library, special children’s programs will be held in the Community Room every Wednesday from June 16th-July 21st and movies will be shown every Saturday starting June 19th. Redding will also offer adult, teen and family programs. Anderson plans special children’s programs starting July 1st, and Burney will feature arts and crafts programs for younger children starting June 24th. All programs and activities are free and open to the public.
