What: From Twitter To Facebook: Step Up To Social Media

Shasta College is proud to host a free, one-day conference that focuses on the fastest-growing part of the Net — Social Media — on Saturday, April 24th, 2010.

This event will feature writers, publishers, bloggers, novelists and teachers who are building relationships with their audiences.

Presenters include:

Doni Greenberg, A News Cafe’s publisher, editor, and writer.

Silas Lyons, Record Searchlight publisher and new media expert.

Donna Eyestone, former Apple content producer, educator, and podcasting instructor.

Ransom Stephens, scientist and science writer, experienced in social media networking and promotion.

Joe Quirk, author of both fiction and non-fiction books. He has experience in both traditional publishing and POD – publishing on demand. Quirk will be speaking on how a writer can develop a “platform” using social media tools.
