Appearing on stage with a stool, a microphone and a can of Diet Pepsi, Paula Poundstone is famous for her razor-sharp wit and spontaneity. A mainstay on NPR’s quirky weekly news program, “Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me,” Poundstone is a master of improvisation and audience interaction, so much so that audience members at her live shows often think the random people she responds to are “plants” (they’re not!).

We made the trip to Chico. Had a nice dinner at Johnnie's and then when to the show. We happened to sit next to other people from Redding.

Paula was great…had her routine, but sprinkled it with questions to audience members and made jokes about their comments. Like how the Chico community pronounces "almonds". She had us laughing so hard we almost peed our pants!

The program was 2 hours long, so we still got home by 11:00.
