Jennifer Jewell Hosts Special Garden Show

Spring is around the corner!

To help you get ready, on Monday, Feb. 15, from 8 – 9 p.m., I will host a special edition of Northstate Public Radio’s I-5 LIVE! specifically to discuss and answer questions about your spring vegetable/edible garden.

My guests will include David Grau, owner of Valley Oak Tool, former market gardener and organizer of the Chico Organic Gardening Series; also, Wayne Kessler of Shambani Organics, a specialty herb and vegetable start grower based in Shingletown, California. Both men are long-time avid home gardeners with a wealth of experience and knowledge. We will talk about issues ranging from soil prep, siting a garden, individual crops good for our conditions and their requirements, planting, watering, harvesting and pest control.

Have questions about your spring vegetable/edible garden? Call in that evening, 800-234-5246, or email me your questions prior to the show at Jennifer@jewellgarden.com.

Tune in at the time of the program: 91.7 FM in Chico and areas south; 88.9 FM in Redding and areas north. You can also listen via live stream from your computer at: kcho.org.

We look forward to having you join us! Happy gardening.
