Sick, Sick, Sick

If you want more evidence that America is going to hell in a shopping cart, read Lisa de Moraes’ TV Column in the Washington Post here.

In her first item, she reports that fans of “Lost” are up in arms because the long-awaited premiere of the show’s final season might be bumped by President Obama’s State of the Union address. Apparently, the White House may move the speech from its traditional late January slot to Feb. 2, which would put it slap up against “Lost.” Gentlemen, start your Twitters!

The second item: The televised funeral of Michael Jackson has been nominated by the NAACP for an Image Award. The category? “Best Variety Series or Special.”

It's kind of a cliche around here but it's true nonetheless: it's your station. See what's going on at

    Hey Steve,

I stopped by the Census office yesterday to check on my application, I took the test last April and I'm hoping to get one of the positions for a "job that counts" ( I really like that slogan.).

I mentioned to the office manager that I had read about the Open House on and she said that the program is not open to the public. Due to the size of the office, the program is by "invitation only" for local dignitaries and business people. Oh, well!
