Ahhh, the crisp, refreshing waters of a near-freezing morning on the first day of the new year and new decade. A few hardy souls always manage to venture into the chilly ritual with a splash of optimism and courage while others are content to cheer them on, whether in person or in spirit. This annual dunk was at the Redding Aquatic Center’s Plunge on New Year’s Day 2010.
