An installation by John Todd of Luddenden, England is still photography with a twist. The installation, an antique outhouse with a “window,” allows the occupant to view an amazing set of photographs in sequence. The sequence took over ten hours to shoot, exposures every 20 seconds. Viewers watch as sheep and cows come and go in the English Countryside, lights go on in the village and the moon rises above the beautiful setting.

Professional portrait photographer, Anastasia, opens “Fresh Perspectives,” a small exhibit of new photographic works. The exhibition includes work as diverse as a shot of the cracked playa in the Black Rock Desert to a line and form study of the Letters and Science building on the UC Davis campus, Ana’s alma mater.

All three photography shows are celebrated in a new gallery exhibit book, edited by Phil Dynan and published exclusively for the Red Bluff Art Gallery.

Reception for the artists, Friday, Oct. 2, from 5-8 p.m. Free. Dress is casual and all ages are welcome. For more information visit RedBluffArtGallery.com or call (530) 529-1332.
