The Wild Horse Sanctuary near Shingletown celebrates its 30th anniversary this Saturday with an open house that will feature music, cowboy poetry, food, craft demonstrations and, of course, a chance to see wild horses up close.
The sanctuary, which was featured in the June issue of Sunset magazine, has more than 300 horses. Some of those will be seen during “wild horse walks” at Saturday’s event. The open house also will feature free horse rides for kids.
The open house and benefit runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. To get more info and directions, click here.
