What: Slow Food Shasta Cascade Potluck “Eat-In” supporting Slow Food USA’s National Time for Lunch Campaign and the reauthorization of the Child Nutrition Act in Congress.

Where: Cafeteria and Garden at Cypress Elementary School, 2150 Civic Center Drive.
Slow Food USA is planning a national public potluck to draw attention to the need for Congress to pass a better Child Nutrition Act that increases healthy, local food to schools. Our Eat-In is part of a National Day of Action, when thousands of people across the country will share a meal to demonstrate our commitment to increasing healthy, local food in school lunches, supporting and growing our schools garden programs, and connecting local farms and farmers with school lunch programs.
