Dispose of Unused Prescription Drugs Safely

Prescription drug abuse is an epidemic in this country and the source of these drugs is often the home medicine cabinet. If you have unneeded or expired medications, now is the time to dispose of them.

On Saturday September 25, 2010, the DEA and their partners are operating collection sites across America where you can turn in your unused, unneeded, and expired medications. No questions asked.

Locally, the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with DEA to provide two locations in Shasta County for citizens to turn in any unused or expired medications:

Shasta County Sheriff’s Office
Records Division
1525 Court Street
Redding, CA 96001
10:00 am to 2:00 pm

– and –

Shasta County Sheriff’s Office
Burney Substation
20509 Shasta Street
Burney, CA 96013
10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Visit www.dea.gov to find a location near you.

Good drugs can end up in bad places. Help keep prescription drugs off the streets.
