Poll Workers Needed for 9/14/2021 Election

The Shasta County Elections Department is currently recruiting poll workers for the September 14th election. We currently have less than half the number of confirmed poll workers we will need in order to keep all polling places open for that election day. There is a specific need in our rural communities including Hat Creek, Round Mountain, Burney, Whitmore and Anderson.

This special election was called with 77 days notice and has new rules, and as a result some polling places have changed. Voters who plan to vote in person should check the back of their County Voter Information Guide for their polling place location, which will be delivered beginning August 11th. Every active registered voter will be mailed a ballot; if you want to vote in person, we request that you bring your ballot with you.

Poll workers must be 16 years of age or older and will earn a stipend of $100 for their volunteer service. Training is provided. More information about being a poll worker, including an online application, is available at the website at ShastaVotes.org.

Questions can be answered by phone at 530-225-5730, by email at elections@co.shasta.ca.us, or in person at 1643 Market St, Redding CA, 96001.

More information about the election can be found at ShastaVotes.org.
