Shasta College is pleased to present Plein Air Paintings of Humboldt County by Jim McVicker. The exhibition is on display from October 7-November 14, 2019 at the Shasta College Art Gallery. There will be an artist’s lecture on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in room 400 with a reception to follow at 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. in building 300. This event is free and open to the public.
Jim McVicker is a nationally renowned painter who has been painting the landscapes of Humboldt County in California since 1977. Painting on-site, he captures the color and light that are often overlooked in his surroundings. He currently resides in Humboldt, California and teaches on-site painting around the world.
