Description: See the Vision… Live the Dream will celebrate the ideals for building community identified in Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. The Program will feature parts of the speech and his dream of a “Beloved Community”. Also highlighted will be how his dream has continued through the work of Coretta Scott King and remains relevant today. The Program will be punctuated by a community choir and a diverse group of local speakers.
Following the program, we will gather for a community dinner and enjoy an opportunity to connect with people from various ethnic communities, faith traditions and established community organizations. This free event will reflect on the past five years developing our local Beloved Community as well as a call for each individual to “live the dream.”
