IGO: Tues., Sept. 10, Day 2 of the Clover Fire. About 5:30 this afternoon I got a chance to take a drive up Clear Creek Road to take a look at the fire damage. When I got to the intersection of Clear Creek, Platina and Placer roads I came across several families waiting for officials to let them go back to their homes to see what is waiting for them.
One family said they had to beg Haven Humane earlier this morning to go by their home and check on their two dogs that were left behind the day before. When Haven Humane returned, the people were very happy to see that their two dogs were with them, healthy and safe. The family said they were also told that many structure had burned down around the area, but that their home was OK.
I was not able to confirm how many structures were lost.
