After a 71-day holdout, top draft pick Michael Crabtree has finally agreed to a six-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers.
Crabtree, taken in the 10th spot in the draft, was a star receiver at Texas Tech, where he caught nearly 100 passes and scored 19 touchdowns last year.
The 22-year-old wideout has a lot of catching up to do. He sat out all of preseason training, and earlier missed off-season camps because of a foot injury. While it will likely take him a while to get up to speed, experts expect him to start contributing right away. Even without him, the Niners are 3-1, their best start since 2002.

- Fun With Craigslist: In the “barter” section of Redding Craigslist, we find this headline: Artist to paint fish. Before you start cracking wise about the fish not holding still, read the rest: “Massage therapist with 20 years experience would like to trade massage therapy for fish to be painted on an outside fence. I have lots of paint.” Something about this ad rubs me the wrong way.
