6 days – 6 Dancing with the Stars features

Each day this week you’ll find Q&A features by all the Dancing with the Stars – Shasta County Style contestants. The six “stars” and their six professional dance partners are: Supervisor Les Baugh and Kathy Babcock (also our choreographer); Redding Radio manager Don Burton and Julie Correia; Redding City Manager Kurt Starman and Sarah Leavers; KRCR weather reporter Chita Johnson and Logan Grimes; Redding Rancheria CEO Tracy Edwards and Matt Armstrong, and last, yours truly and my partner, Jake Carver.

Sunday was our first practice. Eeek.

We have 19 days to learn a winning waltz and a dynamic disco so we can compete July 12 on the Cascade Theatre stage. Are we crazy? Perhaps. But this event benefits two worthy causes: the Shasta Family YMCA youth and Women’s Refuge.
