The Shasta College Horticulture Department will hold its 53rd Annual Spring Plant Sale, Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Shasta College Farm. The sale is planned and staffed by horticulture students. The California Native Plant Society (CNPS) will also be on-site, selling a wide selection of California Native plants to raise funds for local student scholarships and restoration.
The sale will feature annual flowering plants, perennials, herbs, vegetable plants, trees, shrubs, native plants, succulent and house plants. Plant varieties being sold are selected for their ability to survive and thrive in this area’s climate. All plants are grown using sustainable practices, with many of the vegetable starts certified organic.
For those who are unable to attend in person, plants can be ordered online and picked up at the Shasta College Farm after the sale. Starting on April 15 plant orders can be placed at https://www.shastacollege.edu/the-community/farm-nursery-shop/
