• The state has updated its webpage to include much more information about the Regional Stay Home Order, which does not yet impact Shasta County. The Northern California region, which includes Shasta, has 28.2% of ICU beds available. If the region falls below 15%, it would become subject to the Regional Stay Home Order.
• Right now, Shasta County remains in the purple tier. Any businesses that are allowed to be open must be using the modifications required in state guidance. This means:
– Open: Hair salons, personal care services, hotels
– 25% capacity: Retail, shopping centers
– Outdoors only: Restaurants, museums, zoos, aquariums, places of worship, movie theaters, gyms and fitness centers, wineries, family entertainment centers (kart racing, miniature golf, batting cages), cardrooms, satellite wagering
– Closed: Bars, breweries and distilleries with no meal
• Testing is now available in Enterprise, Anderson, Shasta Lake City and South Redding, in addition to Shasta College. Go to www.ShastaReady.org and click on “Get Tested” to make an appointment.
