Even in trying times, KIXE PBS continues to connect to our local communities using OVEE. OVEE (Online Viewing Engagement Experience) is an online community forum to view PBS content and engage in real time discussion.

Shining a Spotlight on Mental Health in Our Communities

Through the intimate and brave stories from families, medical providers, activists, and people in-and-out of ERs, jails, and homeless camps, Bedlam tells the story of America’s mental health crisis. What is being done? How can we support our communities and care for people with serious mental illness?

Hear their stories and discover how you can make a difference by joining us on Tuesday, May 5th 2020 at 5:30 pm PT for a special Indie Lens Pop-Up online screening of Bedlam and virtual chat moderated by Myriam Kalmogho: Shasta College, with Dr. Kyle Patton: Shasta Community Health Center, Paige Greene: Shasta County HHSA, Susan Morris Wilson: Mental Health Advocate, Tehama County Health Services and Butte County Behavioral Health

This event is hosted by KIXE PBS in partnership with Shasta College, Shasta Public Libraries, A News Café, KFOI Radio and Independent Lens
