Event Description: The community is invited to a special benefit concert for flutist Ellie Rose Lundberg. She plans to pursue graduate studies and a career as a professional flutist and teacher.
In high school, Ms. Rose won the Shasta College Concerto Competition as well as the North State Symphony Young Artist Competition and performed with both symphonies in her junior year. She won a full-ride scholarship to be a part of the California Youth Symphony and toured Austria and Italy with them, presenting such works as Stravinsky’s “Firebird” and Hindemith’s “Symphonic Metamorphosis.” Since then she has performed in a wide variety of places, ranging from a chamber concert at a winery to an impromptu solo recital in the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument in Wyoming. Rose performs constantly at University of the Pacific, whether it be in a solo, chamber, or orchestral setting.
Ellie Rose is in her fourth and final year at the University of the Pacific, studying Flute Performance with Mathew Krejci. She plans to pursue graduate studies and a career as a professional flutist and teacher.
A free will donation will be taken with all proceeds going towards the purchase of a new flute for Ellie’s graduate studies.
