There will be a special screening of The Heart of Nuba at the Cascade Theatre in Redding Friday, January 20, 7:00 PM. The film, directed by award winning Kenneth Carlson, tells the story of Dr. Tom Catena, who ministers to the forgotten people of the Nuba Mountains in Sudan. The only surgeon within 200 miles, Dr. Tom does his best to save lives in the midst of carnage and terror, treating as many as 400 patients a day. Director Carlson will be present for Q&A after the film and his wife, Katrina Carlson, who wrote the music for the movie will perform.
Tickets are $10 for Adults and Seniors and $5 for Children and Students at the Cascade Box Office or at the door.
