Special Screening of The Heart of Nuba at the Cascade Theatre

There will be a special screening of The Heart of Nuba at the Cascade Theatre in Redding Friday, January 20, 7:00 PM. The film, directed by award winning Kenneth Carlson, tells the story of Dr. Tom Catena, who ministers to the forgotten people of the Nuba Mountains in Sudan. Director Carlson will be present for Q&A after the film and his wife, Katrina Carlson, who wrote the music for the movie will perform.

Tickets are $10 for Adults and Seniors and $5 for Children and Students at the Cascade Box Office or at the door.

Sponsored by Genocide No More—Save Darfur, CEP American (Emergency Doctors at Mercy Medical Center and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital), Lee and Judy Salter, MD Imaging, and Mercy Beyond Borders.

Any interest in showing Heart of Nuba at the Breckenridge Film Festival this fall?   I can investigate it and sponsor you to some level if you are.   I’m the family practice doctor that’s been visiting Tom a couple times a year since 2011 and was in Gidel May 1 & 2 when the hospital was bombed.
