Live Music in the North State: December 7–December 13

Al Mires performs at Cafe Paradisio Friday, December 9.

Al Mires performs at Cafe Paradisio Friday, December 9.

Thanks to thunderous clamor from my reading public, I’m back, and I’ll try to stay back. (Thanks to the five of you.)

A fond farewell goes to music venues recently closed in our area: California Brewing Company, The Savory Spoon, and Bricks Roadhouse. We’ll lose another venue soon, as Cafe Paradisio will close in mid-December.

If all this isn’t sad enough, Jack Goschke, one of the founding partners of California Brewing Company, died shortly after the doors closed at CBC.

Rest in peace, Jack.
