The Shasta County Avoid the Five DUI Task Force will conduct a Driving Under the Influence/Driver License Checkpoint in Shasta Lake City on Thursday, July 2nd in the evening hours. Motorists entering the checkpoint can expect to see traffic control patterns, warning signs, and officers on the roadway contacting drivers, screening for signs of intoxication or impairment, and checking driver’s licenses. Drivers will be delayed momentarily as they pass through the checkpoint. Drivers can assist in the process by having their driver license out and ready to show to an officer.
