The Women’s Fund Presents Free Community Forum on Entrepreneurship for Women


A forum offering inspiration and information to women who own a business – or who would like to – will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 22 in the Community Room at the Redding Library. “Entrepreneurship: The New Women’s Movement” is presented by The Women’s Fund of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation. It is aimed at women who want to launch or expand a business, as well as businesses, organizations and individuals interested in supporting women entrepreneurs in the North State.

Panelists will share startup stories, explore resources and talk about fresh directions for developing a successful venture. The speakers are:

The goal of the forum is to increase economic opportunities for women. Entrepreneurship can be an important path to financial security.

The event is free. Lunch is available for $5 and will be provided by Fresh Fire Grill of Palo Cedro. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by emailing womensfund@shastarcf.org or by calling 244-1219, ext. 250.

The forum is part of an ongoing speaker series sponsored by The Women’s Fund. The Women’s Fund was founded to address persistent challenges facing women and their families in the greater Redding area and to seek solutions through collective philanthropy.
