The event is free and will have an array of talented artists and craft vendors, as well as an assortment of informational booths designed to bring awareness to the many health-related programs and services located in the surrounding area.
The event will take place outside the Shingletown Medical Center, which is just a 30-minute drive due east on Highway 44 from Redding and located directly below Mt. Lassen, so the air is fresh and cool from the summer-time heat.
The Medical Center is pleased to announce they will have Sweetie’s Café & Catering with their 14 ft. barbeque serving a variety of tasty treats from pulled pork tacos, to teriyaki and BBQ Chicken on a stick, corn on the cob and much more. The fair will also have a variety of fun dessert vendors along with the Farmer’s Market and, of course, Grandpa’s Kettle Korn.
Live music will be from the great band “Wild Card” with arrangements of country, blues and hot vintage rock, so dancing on the lawn is encouraged. The kids will also have an exciting area with a variety of fun children’s prize booths and entertainment by Korndogg Klowning doing face painting and balloon art.
In addition to all the other exciting vendors, the helicopter from Reach Air Ambulance will be on display, and the Bloodsource blood mobile will be on site and available to accept donations. And last, but hardly least, the Northern California Veterans Historical Association is bringing up its famous mobile military museum, which is housed inside a Huey helicopter. Guests will have the opportunity to climb aboard for photos and reenactment exercises.
