Mark your calendar and get your tickets for Rickie Lee Jones at Redding’s historic Cascade Theatre this Saturday night, November 5th, at 7:30pm.
Rickie Lee Jones burst onto the music scene in 1979 winning a Grammy for Best New Artist for her self-titled debut — which included the hit song Chuck E’s in Love and featured guest appearances by Dr. John, Randy Newman and Michael McDonald. Over the next three decades, Rickie Lee Jones pursued her own unique musical journey, expanding her songbook to embrace R&B, jazz, folk, rock, spoken word and pop. In 1989, she shared a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance with long-time friend Dr. John for their duet of Making Whoopie.
Always fearless, Rickie Lee Jones has consistently pushed her creative abilities, earning her both critical and popular acclaim and making her one of the most significant singer/songwriters of the modern era.
