Mercy Offers Migraine & Headache Pain Seminar

Plan now to attend an informative seminar with local medical professionals who will discuss the shared symptoms of headache, migraine and stroke. Speakers include:

Did you know that approximately 15% of women and 5% of men experience migraines?

Have you had a migraine so bad you wondered if you were having a stroke? Stroke and migraine share symptoms, which may lead someone with a migraine to fear they are having a stroke. A migraine is a type of headache, caused by abnormal excitation and inhibition of brain cells. A stroke is the interruption of blood to the brain, which kills cells in the immediate area and affects those in the surrounding areas.

Stroke and migraine may present with similar symptoms, including visual disturbances, speech problems and weakness down one side of the body. Stroke and migraine are related in other ways.

Attend this lecture and discover if there is any relationship between migraines, stroke and bad headaches and what you can do about the pain.
