Old Forecaster: Redding Area Weather Outlook for Sept. 5 – 11, 2011

Weather Discussion: A large high pressure area will be over the western U.S. and off the west coast. This will bring sunny skies to Redding with above normal temperatures. Temperatures Monday (the 5th) will be in the mid to upper 90s. Hotter weather is expected Tuesday through Friday, with Redding reaching the upper 90s to 102. Friday through the weekend, a weak, upper level low will move into Southern California and Nevada. This will cool our temperatures a couple of degrees and could trigger some thunderstorms over the mountains.

Extended Weather Outlook Sept 12th through Sept 18th: Temperatures will begin to drop back to near normal as the low to our south moves east and the high pressure area weakens. Redding will still be sunny through the period but our high temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s.
