I don’t know what attracts me most to trailers. No, I don’t mean the sort that hog Redding’s prime riverfront property. I mean the small, cute, stylish travel variety that simultaneously fulfill my craving for a dose of retro style, my yearning to be on the open road and my romanticized longing to live in a less complicated time.
You can get your fill of the latter this weekend in Trinity County at the “Sisters on the Fly” Open House in Trinity County. The event features 20 stinkin’ cute vintage trailers, music by Soul Kitchen, hot dogs and drinks. Muralist Michelle de Onate will be there, painting murals on two of these little cuties. Two of Michelle’s previous creations – trailer-scale cowgirl pinups – will be featured.
So, “Get Outta Town” this weekend, and satisfy your own needs for style, freedom and simplicity.
