Westside Performing Arts Company presents a unique opportunity to experience theater star Franc D’Ambrosio in person as he works to pass along his priceless experience and his own insights to a new generation of artists. Franc will lead a Vocal Master Class on Thursday, June 9th from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the Shasta College Music Building. Seating is limited.

Non-singers are welcome to attend too. Organizers say this will be a fascinating experience no matter what side of the stage you prefer to be on. Here’s the format: Ten very advanced Redding vocalists will be the ‘student performers’ with whom Mr. D’Ambrosio will work. Everyone else will be observing and will learn a tremendous amount through the observation and critique.

If there is time at the end of the class, observers may get up and perform. So if you are interested in performing, come prepared with sheet music, but there is no guarentee everyone will get to perform.

Also, Mr. D’Ambrosio will be teaching private one-on-one lessons for students who are interested later that evening. The cost is $50.00 per 1/2 hour for private lessons.

Franc’s accomplishments include:
§  Playing “Phantom” in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera,” performing the part of the “masked man” over 2,000 times
§  an Academy Award-nominated film, playing the adult Anthony Vito Corleone in “The Godfather III”
§  Three Emmy award-nominated television shows,  two Grammy considerations
§  National Theatre Award nomination for his stage work in “Barry Manilow’s Copacabana”
