The Shasta College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers a new business workshop: Social Media … for Small Business? This workshop is perfect for business owners to understand what social media is, and what it isn’t. This workshop is offered on Thursday, April 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Center for Economic and Workforce Development classroom (2990 Innsbruck Dr., Redding), which is located across from the Shasta Builders Exchange building. This workshop is presented by Kate Bourland.

Among the topics covered will be: What Is Social Media; Why is Social Media Important to Your Business; How to Integrate Social Media into Your Business; How to Choose the Right Social Media Platform for You – Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In, YouTube, Flickr, blogging, Yelp, Four Square and other Geo Location tools, or Groupon.

Attendees will walk away with a thorough understanding of each Social Media Platform and information on choosing the best social media platform or platforms for their business. The cost to attend this workshop is $25 per person and the class fills up quickly, so early registration is encouraged.
