What: “Music and Merlot” to Support Evergreen Union School District Music

When: 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16

Where: Burnsini Vineyards in Cottonwood

Cost: $45 per person donation

Despite the financial crisis in California’s public schools, Evergreen Union School District has managed to keep music alive for the 1,000 students who receive music, singing, dancing, drumming and guitar as part of their educational experience. However, resources are running out and we have planned a community event to support funding for the music program and build awareness of the importance of music education.

On Oct. 16, 2010 at 5 p.m. we will be holding our first annual “Music and Merlot” dinner at Burnsini Vineyards in Cottonwood. If you’ve never been to Burnsini Vineyards, make this the night! Your tax deductible donation of $45 includes a New York steak dinner, complementary wine glass, music by Indigo Brew, amazing door prizes and live auction. You may purchase tickets at Rosa’s One Stop Guitar Shop in Anderson, the Elegant Bean in Cottonwood, and both Evergreen Elementary and Middle School offices, or by calling Vicky Woolley at 347-3411, ext. 7505. If you cannot attend the event, any donation is greatly appreciated!
