What: Family 2nd Saturday – Meet Nature’s Insect Clean-up Crew!
When: Sep 11, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Turtle Bay Exploration Park
Beetles are very good cleaners, though not everyone thinks they are beautiful. Join museum docent Rich Hayes for a creepy-crawly look at his prized scarab beetle collection. A retired National Forest Service Park Ranger, “The Bug Man” understands the important role these long-horned creatures play in nature. Enjoy insect and earth themed crafts and activities provided by our MTVs (Museum Teen Volunteers).
Family Second Saturday is FREE with Park admission, $14 for adults and $10 for children and seniors. Or, new beginning in September, take advantage of our Family Second Saturday — Family Adventure Pass. $35 per family and valid for up to two adults and three children. Each additional adult or child pays standard Park admission.
