“Dharma Street” by Sean Randall at Vintage Wine Bar & Restaurant

This month’s ArtHop is Saturday, Sept. 11, fromĀ 6 to 9 p.m. Also join us for the kick-off at Vintage & After-Party at Vintner’s Cellar, featuring Clearcut, plus a champagne reception and 8 p.m. lighting ceremony introducing the Market Street Promenade Art Project. Read on for details.

The Kick-Off is Back! (Just this Month): Friends of Whiskeytown and HawkMan Studios invite you to a special presentation by

Jackie Moses & Mary Ellen Croteau
Artists in Residence at Whiskeytown
ArtHop – Sat. Sept. 11 – 5:00 PM
Vintage Wine Bar & Restaurant

Jackie’s more recent paintings deal with integration and transitions. Landscapes are often altered and painted in bright colors. The intent is to give the observer a view of possible underling problems, but with the hope of expressing optimism and the need to adapt to the changes occurring worldwide.

Mary Ellen’s art has appeared on the cover of Artpaper and On The Issues magazine, and has been reproduced in Ms, and numerous other journals. Most recently, she exhibited at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC and in Zurich, Swizerland.

Jackie and Mary Ellen will talk about their lives, their work and their residency at Whiskeytown Recreation Area. Come and help us welcome them to the North State.
