Auld Lang Sigh

Still catching your breath after the rush of Christmas and houseguests and way too much food? Too bad for you because New Year’s Eve is right around the corner. Suck it up and get ready to party.

Restaurants and bars all over Redding are hosting special events for New Year’s Eve. This might be the year to jump from one event to the other until you end up in your favorite spot for the big midnight kiss.

Some of the offerings:

Our pals at HawkMan Studios and Vintage Wine Bar & Restaurant co-host V-10: The New Year’s Eve Party from 5 p.m. until late. Our own Jim Dyar and his band will provide the music, and there will be painting demonstrations and special food and wine pairings. Call 229-9449 for reservations.

The Shasta Blues Revue performs at LuLu’s Eating and Drinking Establishment, starting at 9 p.m. Cover is $7. Call 243-6251 for dinner reservations.

We hear tickets are still available for the Redding City Musical Theatre Company’s Masquerade Ball at YAKS on Bechelli. Musical performances, food, dancing. Tickets are $30. Click here for more info.

Downtown Eatery is hosting an all-ages dance party, starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are only $5.

Moonstone Bistro offers a special menu for its Fancy Pants Dinner Party. Reservations at 241-3663.
