Experience the Vietnam War in a very personal way—through the stories of 5 Shasta County residents who lived it. For 90 minutes, starting at 12 noon on November 7, 2017 at the Shasta College Theater a panel of 5 Shasta County residents will hold a panel discussion where they will share their perspectives and stories of this tumultuous time. Master of Ceremonies Chris Rodriguez, history professor at Shasta College, will guide the storytelling by providing context and direction. A question and answer session will follow the discussion. These stories are live, unedited and unrehearsed. Audience members should be prepared to hear stories of heroic deeds and tragic loss, of surprising joy and chronic fear. This free event is open to all students, staff, faculty and the public. For additional information please contact the Shasta College Foundation at 242-7512.
