Live Music in the North State: August 30 – September 5

Our outdoor music festivals are pretty much done for the summer, with the notable exception of the Sunset River Jam in Anderson River Park, which will continue until October 4. That said, it’s hardly an entertainment desert out there, so please, venture out and enjoy.

    Great to see that To Be Announced got back together. One of the few prog-rock bands that I still listen to every once in a while today. When I was a freshman in college, their album “Starway to Kelvin” was on my turntable pretty much all of winter quarter. Three opportunities to see TBA in one week? I’ll be at least one of them.

      Yeah, I’ve often thought that “To Be Announced” might be a name I’d choose for a group. Or maybe “The Other Band Canceled Band.”

      Actually, thanks for the prompt. I just checked Pit River Casino’s website, and their lineup is now posted for September. The end of the month can be a pain in the butt for tracking down gigs.
