  1. Thank you, Hal, for compiling this list each week of north state live music.

    Hi Hal:

Thanks again for your list! Do you know if there is a dance floor at The Dip? Heavy Dose of Blues is most defiantly a dance band!!! Thanks.

    • Hal Johnson Hal Johnson says:

K., the last time I was there was for the Buckhorn Mountain Stompers show, and there was lotsa dancin’ going on.The dance floor is right in front of the stage.

  3. cheyenne says:

When I worked at Pacheco school Pat Karch was my supervisor.  That was many years ago.

    • Hal Johnson Hal Johnson says:

My son went to Redding School of the Arts, where Pat still works. I’ve had chances over the years to hear him perform, both as part of school programs and out in the night. He is one talented guy.

      • cheyenne says:

Pat played, with the Lou White Band, at the annual Pisano Days at Anderson River Park every year.  But I guess Pisano Days are gone with a lot of other area events.

  4. Steve Towers Steve Towers says:

Trying to talk my better half into The Suitcase Junket tonight, but she’s refusing to commit.  I may just buy a couple of tickets this morning and takes my chances.

  5. Hal Johnson says:

Life on the Edge! (Married version.)

    • Steve Towers Steve Towers says:

Bought those tickets.  Delta blues meets Mongolian throat singing—I can’t wait.

I’d have missed it but for this column.

I think I’m spending too much time on Facebook: for several seconds, I searched for the “like” button.
