$716,197 in Grants Awarded by the Shasta Regional Community Foundation

Shasta Regional Community Foundation Board of Directors recently approved recommendations for funding from The McConnell Fund. $716,197 was awarded to 28 organizations in Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity Counties. This brings the total grants awarded from the Shasta Regional Community Foundation to over $13 million since its inception in 2000.

The McConnell Fund at the Shasta Regional Community Foundation was established in 2001. The McConnell Foundation directors chose the Community Foundation as a funding partner because of its connection and widespread involvement in the communities they serve. The McConnell Fund accepts grant requests up to $50,000 from eligible organizations in Shasta, Siskiyou, and Tehama counties and up to $30,000 from eligible organization in Modoc and Trinity counties. Volunteer panelists from the counties review proposals, conduct site visits, and make recommendations for grants to the Community Foundation Board of Directors.
