Al Boren Resigns as Shasta Family YMCA’s CEO

REDDING, CA – Al Boren, CEO of the Shasta Family YMCA, has resigned from his position effective Sept. 23, 2014.

Boren has been CEO for 6 years and during his tenure has been dedicated to the growth and financial stability of the YMCA.

“On behalf of the Shasta Family YMCA board, I wish Al and his family the very best,” said Chris Jones, president of the Shasta Family YMCA Board of Directors.

“Al has made a personal, family-based decision which we fully respect. His jovial personality will be missed by many.”

The Board of Directors has accepted Boren’s resignation and approved a search for his replacement. The Board has appointed John Dunlap, board member and committed supporter of the Shasta Family YMCA, as the CEO for the immediate future.
