Dedication of the Parkville Ranch Conservation Easement Home of the David DuBose Nature Preserve

You are invited to come and visit the historic Parkville Ranch for the dedication of the David DuBose Nature Preserve and a conservation easement for the property. Sandra DuBose has donated a permanent conservation easement on the nearly 150 year old Parkville Ranch in the memory of her late husband, David DuBose. Shasta Land Trust will hold the conservation easement assuring this special property that contains unique agriculture and natural resource amenities will be protected in perpetuity.

A special stewardship endowment fund to maintain the easement is necessary to assure the integrity of the easement in perpetuity. This event serves as an opportunity for all who benefited from the teachings of Dave DuBose to honor the insights, philosophy and understanding of ecological connections he instilled in our lives. Tickets for the lunch will be $20. All proceeds from the lunch and additional donations will help Sandy achieve their dram of protecting this unique ranch for future generations.

This event will occur rain or shine and will include walking tours, a painting demonstration, and the opportunity to explore this picturesque ranch and learn more about the project that resulted in its permanent conservation.

The event will run from 10:30 am through 5:00 pm. Lunch will be prepared and served by the Shasta College Agriculture Leadership Club from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. A no-host beer and wine bar will be available.
