Notorious North State cartoonist, Phil Fountain, has announced his return to the World Wide Web via the region’s favorite online destination, anewscafe.com.
Beginning Sunday, October 13th, readers who happen to have a penchant for crudely rendered satire and a willingness to waste a few seconds of their life on local cartoon buffoonery will once again find “Philbert’s” sketches on this very website.
After months of inactivity the crayon wielding Philbert will resume his role as the chronicler of the silliness only north state politicos are capable of providing. Once known as “Patrick Jones’ favorite online cartoonist,”* Philbert is happy to be back on anewscafe.com
“I’ve missed smudging the ethernet with my ‘toons… and I’ve particularly missed giving Doni anxiety-induced blackouts with my, admittedly, poorly conceived drawings. It’s weirdly cool to watch her facial tics return as she opens the file containing my latest masterpiece. It’s like watching a chipmunk in the throes of Ritalin withdrawal. It’s priceless. I hope anewscafe.com readers won’t ‘de-favorite place’ the site because of the cartoons… that would be a shame.”
